Letter Bee Ep. 11

Sweet, a filler episode.

And filler episodes are all about priorities. We only have a limited budget so we’re going to have to spend it wisely. As a result, much care and attention was paid to this:

But the emotional climax of the episode?

Not as important–don’t waste money on it. Here, have another immaculately animated shot of Niche’s ass:

There’s really not much to say in this episode. Lag’s on another delivery mission for some failed author:

His nose would make Lady Gaga proud. There are copious shots of Niche’s panties if you’re into that sort of thing (did you hear about that guy who got 20 years in jail for “accidental” child porn?–think about it). We also get another giant, ridiculous beetle:

And what’s a Letter Bee episode without Lag sobbing like crazy?

Next week is gonna be Christmas-themed!

Man, if you told me that a world with no sun and weird giant beetles terrorizing the countryside also happens to believe in the re-branded pagan rituals of Noel, golly, I think I would believe you!

I was going to watch this anyway, but I think my priorities are leaning more towards the fact that I just started Code Geass now. I may skip this ep altogether. This is one show that I think doesn’t need to pull the timeless, “character of the week/1ep character story” format. I just wanna know what’s going on with this messed up world Lag’s in.

Good luck with that. There’s a show with a decent premise that could have really used some editing. I bet a tight 13 episodes would have done wonders for that plot.

It looks like the next two episodes are going to be Anime Originals before going back to following the Manga with the next major plot arc.
